It is a lovely gentle re-entry into camping, specially since it's now such an easy, quick drive down the new freeway. There's a corner shop (with lattes), more shops including an IGA 5 mins away, plenty to do in the area and you're right on the beach. The toilets are well maintained and the bbqs looked new. It feels like 'real' camping but with safety nets.

The number to book with the park ranger (he was lovely) is 5983 5582. It was $20 a night for an unpowered site.Penni Russonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17956453252195293843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23502762.post-37859081815021126772008-11-19T17:45:00.000+11:002008-11-19T17:45:00.000+11:00Congrats to Fred on the graduation from training w...Congrats to Fred on the graduation from training wheels.

We've been thinking about getting into camping again, now our second is 2 and a half. We haven't been camping since his mum was pregnant one very, very hot January at Wilsons Prom!

Balnarring sounds lovely, and by your account, a nice easy way to get back into camping with a little one.

Where in Balnarring would you recommend for camping? Is there a caravan park, or is it state park camping?Mark Lawrencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02504002779156297181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23502762.post-3361374436851530322008-11-17T20:46:00.000+11:002008-11-17T20:46:00.000+11:00Wow, that is a really special moment. I didn't ride a 2 wheeler until I was about 8 and it wasn't even mine, I got my first 2 wheeler at 9.K for Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16714263735509285309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23502762.post-6439394182926771522008-11-17T19:57:00.000+11:002008-11-17T19:57:00.000+11:00Hooray for Fred! Was his own idea! About the best - and most gloriously surprising - gift I've ever received.

I'll be visiting the Mornington Pen. in a few weeks. I've been before but only when it's quiet. I'm guessing it's quite mad in the summer holidays. Any advice for this West Aussie? (Although the horses swimming sounds fab I think the whole 5am thing will prevent me from witnessing such beauty - I'll have to just read your blog post about it! Plus I'll be based near Rosebud; not exactly nearby.)eleanor bloomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11642298362764360355noreply@blogger.com
