The Indigo Girls

It's February, which means Indigo Girls is filtering into the bookshops in Australia and NZ. It's already been given a pretty good write up in the Readings newsletter and there was a reprint before the book was even released.

You can read the first three chapters here. Or you can go and read this bit of embarrassment if you must.

Brilliant! And I'm totally with you on the Sweet Valley High books, even if I can't stop giggling at the moment.

  3. My favourite SVH was number 7 when Elizabeth had a motorbike accident and becomes the bad twin.

  4. Molly really really enjoyed it! I think she read it the night after you left and stayed up till all hours to finish it which is the sign of a great book in the world of a teenager :-D

Great - now I'll have to order another from Australia (the shipping price is exorbitant!). Drift is on its way across the world -- I can't wait. (-:

  6. It's funny...because I was around when you were writing Undine and you would chew ideas over with me and I got to read some early drafts, I guess I kinda felt like your writing was something contained to our little world, not public property. But now you are just cranking out the novels and winning fans the world over, I realise you just ARE a novelist!!! Nice one!

  8. I read the chapters. They're great. If I had the book beside me right now I'm sure I'd stay up late to finish it...
